Deputy Chairman of Gazprom Management Committee Alexander Medvedev said in his address to the Singapore Investment Forum that the export price of gas to the European Union in the current year may reach $180-190 per thousand cubic meters, according to Prime news agency.
”The price range in 2017 will remain between $180-$190 per 1,000 cubic meters,” Prime quoted Medvedev as saying.
Last year, the average price of Russian gas exports to the EU countries stood at $167 per 1,000 cubic meters, he added.
In 2016, Gazprom boosted the supply of gas to non-CIS countries by 12.5%, to more than 179.3 billion cubic meters, setting a historic high.
”Europe has been and remains a priority market for Gazprom, Deputy Chairman of Gazprom Management Committee said, noting that the company`s position will remain stable in the European market in the coming months.
Last year, Gazprom`s share of gas in the European market increased from 31% in 2015 to 34%, while the company wants to keep it at the level of 35%.
