The Secretary of the Zaporizhzhia City Council Anatolii Kurtiev informed on April 9, 2023, that at night, Russian troops once again attacked Zaporizhzhia (a city in the south of Ukraine). One house was destroyed, windows and roofs were damaged in dozens of neighboring houses. Two civilians were killed, including a child.

“At night, two Russian rockets were aimed at one of the private sectors of the city. They destroyed one house. Windows and roofs were damaged in dozens of neighboring houses. At this time, it is known that, unfortunately, two people were killed – a man and a child born in 2012, who died in an ambulance. According to preliminary information, three people lived in the house,” reported the Secretary of the Zaporizhzhia City Council.
The head of the Zaporizhzhia Regional Military Administration Yuriy Malashko added that a woman was rescued from the rubble but her husband and an 11-year-old girl died.
Rescuers promptly extinguished the fire and dismantled the rubble. As of 8:00 a.m., the search for victims and emergency rescue operations have been completed.
