Oleksandr Starukh, the head of the Zaporizhzhia Regional Military Administration noted the Russian army continued shelling the Zaporizhzhia region. On January 19, 2023, the region experienced another “record” of Russian attacks. 34 objects of civil infrastructure were damaged by Russian shelling.

“The cruelty of Russian troops has no bounds and never ceases to terrify. Having arrived in a civilized country, they destroy the infrastructure, and Ukrainians who are in the line of fire are under constant threat. The Zaporizhzhia region experienced another “record” of Russian attacks – 224 shellings on 21 settlements in the last day alone [on January 19, 2023 – ed.]. Another 34 destructions of civil objects were recorded,” explained the head of the Zaporizhzhia Regional Military Administration.
According to the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, more than 20 settlements were hit by tank, mortar and artillery fire in the Zaporizhzhia direction, in particular, Olgivske, Malynivka, Huliaipole, Charivne, Biloghirya, Orihiv, Mali Shcherbaky and Kamianske.
