Serhii Shaikhet, the head of the National Police in the Mykolaiv region informed that on April 7, 2023, Russian troops shelled Ochakiv in the Mykolaiv region (south of Ukraine). Two civilians were injured.

“Today, at 5 o’clock in the morning, Russian soldiers shelled Ochakiv again. Residential buildings, shops and other infrastructure of the city were damaged,” reported the head of the National Police in the Mykolaiv region.
According to preliminary information, two victims of Russian shelling have been hospitalized in medical facilities.
The press center of the State Emergency Service of Ukraine added that the Russian army was firing various types of weapons at the residential quarters of Ochakiv.
“Two trade pavilions at the local market and the roof of a private residential building were on fire. Both fires were extinguished by the forces of duty guards of the 22nd state fire-rescue unit, one on an approximate area of 60 square meters, and another – on 3 square meters,” explained the press center of the State Emergency Service of Ukraine.
