The Sumy Regional Military Administration noted on April 2, 2023, that Russians hit the Sumy region (northeastern Ukraine) with mortars in the morning. As a result of one of the attacks, two civilians were killed.

“At 5 o’clock in the morning, Russian troops hit a milk truck with mortars in one of the settlements of the Novo Sloboda community, two missile “arrivals” were recorded. As a result of the Russian attack, two people were killed – a milk truck driver and a forwarder,” reported the Sumy Regional Military Administration.
There was also a mortar shelling of the Krasnopillia community from the territory of the Russian Federation, two missile “arrivals” were recorded.
Earlier, the Sumy Regional Military Administration informed that Russian troops shelled the territory of the Seredyna-Buda community with barrel artillery, four missile “arrivals” were recorded.
Sumy borders three regions of Russia – Bryansk, Kursk, and Belgorod. The border regions of Ukraine are regularly shelled by the Russian military.
