Pavlo Kyrylenko, the head of the Donetsk Regional Military Administration noted on January 5, 2023, that Russian troops actively shelled the Donetsk region (east of Ukraine) along the entire front line during the night and in the morning, damaging hospitals, shops, and high-rise buildings. There are dead and wounded civilians.

“At night and in the morning, Russians actively fired along the entire front line. 2 people were killed in the Horlivka direction and 1 was wounded in Bakhmut. In Chasiv Yar, a high-rise building was destroyed, 4 more houses and a hospital building were damaged. A 5-story building was damaged in Soledar — no one was injured,” explained the head of the Donetsk Regional Military Administration.
According to Pavlo Kyrylenko, Kurakhove in the Donetsk direction was the most affected – the city was hit by several shellings, six private houses, two shops and equipment at an infrastructure facility were damaged. Marinka was subjected to intense shelling, and in the morning isolated attacks were recorded in the old part of Avdiivka, there were no victims.
“In the Lysychansk direction, Russian troops fired S-300 missile at Lyman, and on the territory of the community, they shelled Torske and Zarichne, damaging a house. Fortunately, there were no casualties,” added the head of the Donetsk Regional Military Administration.
