The police of the Sumy region informed on April 30, 2023, that Russian soldiers shelled the border settlements of the Sumy region (northeastern Ukraine). More than 170 hits were recorded.

“During the past day, Russian troops again shelled the border settlements of the Sumy region. In total, more than 170 hits were recorded. As a result, 12 private houses, an apartment building, a shop, school premises, and a factory were damaged,” reported the police of the Sumy region.
According to these facts, criminal proceedings have been opened under Art. 438 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine “Violation of laws and customs of war”.
The press center of the Sumy Regional Military Administration added that at night and in the morning, the Russian army carried out 9 shellings of the border communities of the Sumy region.
“Seredyno-Buda, Znob-Novhorodske, Bilopillia, and Druzhbivka territorial communities came under Russian fire,” said the press center of the Sumy Regional Military Administration.
