The Head of the Dnipropetrovsk Regional Military Administration Serhiy Lysak noted that on April 16, 2023, the Russian army carried out artillery fire on residential quarters of the city of Nikopol in the Dnipropetrovsk region (east of Ukraine).

“The temple in Nikopol was hit with heavy artillery. Two people were injured. A 57-year-old man is undergoing outpatient treatment, and a 38-year-old woman is hospitalized,” explained the Head of the Dnipropetrovsk Regional Military Administration.
In addition to the temple, five residential buildings, two cars, and several power lines were damaged in the city by Russian shelling. Four farm buildings were damaged but one more was destroyed.
According to detailed information, in addition to Nikopol, the Chervonohryhorivka community also came under Russian fire.
Under the procedural leadership of the Dnipropetrovsk Regional Prosecutor’s Office, a pre-trial investigation has been initiated in criminal proceedings on the fact of violating the laws and customs of war.
