The Head of the Kharkiv Regional Military Administration Oleg Sinegubov noted that Russian military shelled the Kupyansk district of the Kharkiv region (east of Ukraine) with mortars on December 24, 2022. As a result, a man was killed and a woman injured.

“In the morning, Russians launched mortar attacks on the Kupyansk district of the Kharkiv region. Russian troops simply hit a private household in the village of Podoly. Unfortunately, a 72-year-old man was killed. A 74-year-old woman received a blast injury and a shrapnel wound. The woman was hospitalized and doctors provide all the necessary assistance,” explained the Head of the Kharkiv Regional Military Administration.
The day before, Russian soldiers launched rocket and artillery strikes in the Kharkiv region. They shelled the border settlements of Kharkiv, Chuhuiv, Kupyansk and Izyum districts. 4 employees of the district hospital were injured – 3 men and 1 woman. Another 62-year-old man also received shrapnel wounds.
