Russian troops shelled the Sumy region: they damaged the power line

The Sumy Regional Military Administration noted on March 2, 2023, that as a result of shelling by Russian troops in the Sumy region (northeastern Ukraine) on March 1, 2023, a power line was damaged.

“The Russian army carried out artillery shelling, previously with 152 mm shells, on areas of the Sumy district. As a result of the shelling, the power line was damaged. Therefore, there may be power outages in the border settlements for some time,” informed the Sumy Regional Military Administration.

According to preliminary information of the Sumy Regional Military Administration, there are no victims.

“Power engineering teams will carry out work to restore power supply. Preliminary – there are no victims,” added the Sumy Regional Military Administration.

In the evening of March 1, the Sumy Regional Military Administration reported that the sounds of explosions that could be heard by the residents of Sumy were the echoes of shelling of the border from heavy artillery.

In addition, on March 1, the troops of the Russian Federation shelled five communities, and 31 hits were recorded in the Sumy region.
