The head of the Zaporizhzhia Oblast Military Administration said that Russian troops shelled the city of Orikhiv in the Zaporizhzhia region (south of Ukraine) for 14 hours on August 28, 2022. As a result, two children were confused, and their mother was injured.

“Today, 14 hours of salvo fire from multiple launch rocket systems and barrel artillery on Orikhiv. As a result of the attack, three-year-old boy Yaroslav and six-year-old girl Oleksandra received concussions. Their mother suffered a closed brain injury. Everyone was provided with timely first aid. The injured were taken to Zaporizhzhia, where they are receiving the necessary treatment. Their condition is satisfactory.”
The head of the Zaporizhzhia Oblast Military Administration added that a number of private houses on different streets of the city were destroyed.
“Enemy shelling of the city of Orikhiv. Occupiers used incendiary shells, which caused a large number of fires in the settlement. Rescuers of the State Emergency Service extinguished the fire in time.”
Oleksandr Starukh specified that more than 200 arrivals were recorded over Orikhiv in the last 6 hours.
“The central part of the city suffered the most. The center is on fire.”
