Head of the Ukrainian team of the Joint Center for Control and Coordination (JCCC) on the settlement of the Donbas crisis Major General Borys Kremenetsky says Ukraine consistently fulfills its obligations to abide by the ceasefire along the entire contact line in Donbas and is ready to observe the truce with no time limit.
”The Ukrainian members of the Joint Center for Control and Coordination of issues related to the ceasefire regime and the stabilization of the situation along the contact line say that Ukraine has consistently been fulfilling its obligations to cease fire along the contact line and is ready to continue to maintain the full and comprehensive ceasefire in Donbas indefinitely,” he said in a statement posted on the Facebook page of the Anti-Terrorist Operation headquarters.
During a video conference on Tuesday, September 13, the Trilateral Contact Group called on the parties to the conflict to abide by the undertaken commitments to cease fire.
”The JCCC`s Ukrainian members continue interaction with the OSCE Special Monitoring Mission in monitoring the situation and Minsk implementation,” it said.
Earlier, leaders of the self-proclaimed republics in Donbas announced they were ready to cease fire in eastern Ukraine in the early hours of September 15 after recent escalation preceded by a relative lull agreed at the Trilateral Contact Group talks on September 1, 2016.
The ATO HQ reported that three Ukrainian soldiers were killed and another 15 were wounded in Donbas on Monday, September 12. One is reported to be missing in action.
