The Minister of Education of Ukraine Serhiy Shkarlet said on December 9, 2022, that Russian soldiers had damaged or completely destroyed the buildings of more than 2,800 educational institutions since the beginning of the full-scale invasion of Ukraine on February 24, 2022.

“100 days of the educational process in this academic year in Ukraine are under martial law. During these 100 days, Russian missile attacks damaged and destroyed more than 390 educational institutions, and since the beginning of the full-scale invasion – more than 2,800,” emphasized the Mnister of Education of Ukraine Serhiy Shkarlet.
In addition, Serhiy Shkarlet also explained that despite the fact that Russian troops continue to destroy schools, kindergartens, universities and vocational schools, Ukrainian children and youth continue to study.
“Teachers, lecturers and educators of Ukraine courageously hold the educational front,” said the Minister of Education of Ukraine.
