Russian troops have already committed more than 3,800 war crimes in the Kharkiv region

Investigators of the National Police of Ukraine registered 3,831 (in particular, 37 today) war crimes committed by Russian soldiers during the occupation of the Kharkiv region (east of Ukraine) as of December 17, 2022.

“Investigative units of the National Police of Ukraine are taking steps to register Russian war crimes in liberated settlements of the Kharkiv region. A total of 3,831 war crimes have been registered since the beginning of the liberation measures, of which the largest number is 3,414 – under Art. 438 (violation of the laws and customs of war) and 359 – under Art. 111-1 (collaborative activity) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine,” noted the communications department of the main department of the National Police of the Kharkiv region.

In addition, employees of the explosive service of the National Police of Ukraine continue surveying and demining populated areas in the liberated from Russian troops territories of the Kharkiv region. They surveyed the territory with a total area of about 2,013.8 hectares, 26,902 explosive objects were recovered, and 4,575 were destroyed.
