The Deputy Head of the Office of the President of Ukraine Kyrylo Tymoshenko said on January 17, 2023, that Russian military destroyed more than 16,800 objects in the Kharkiv region, and more than 6,000 of them in Kharkiv.

“Operational and restoration work continues in the liberated from Russian troops Ukrainian territories. On the liberated territory of the Kharkiv region, Russian terrorists destroyed 16,861 objects. The vast majority of destroyed objects are located in the regional center. More than 6,000 objects were damaged or completely destroyed here in Kharkiv,” explained the Deputy Head of the Office of the President of Ukraine.
At the same time, Kyrylo Tymoshenko emphasized that the districts closest to the war zone were suffering the most.
Kyrylo Tymoshenko also noted that international organizations and partners continue to support Ukrainians.
Ukrainian troops at the end of August – beginning of September 2022 liberated the majority of the Kharkiv region, which had been captured by Russian soldiers since the beginning of the full-scale invasion.
