Russian troops fired over 60 mortar mines in Dokuchaievsk area in the Mariupol sector. Mariupol and its eastern outskirts remain the hottest spot. Russian troops violated the ceasefire in Donbas eighty times in the last day massively using heavy weapons, six Ukrainian troops were wounded in action (WIA), according to the press service of the Anti-Terrorist Operation (ATO) Headquarters.
View map in full sizeIn the Mariupol sector Russian troops were using artillery near Dokuchaievsk where they fired over 60 mines. They fired over 100 mines and 20 artillery shells towards Ukrainian positions. The Russian troops continued to attack Ukrainian positions, using heavy weapons. The towns of Krasnohorivka and Maryinka, and the villages of Novotroyitske, Vodiane, Pavlopil, and Bohdanivka in the Mariupol sector came under Russian troops’ mortar fire. Grenade launchers and small arms were used to shell Maryinka, and the villages of Lebedynske, Starohnativka, Taramchuk, Novohryhorivka, Shyrokyne, Chermalyk, Vodiane, and Hnutove. Additionally, a Russian troops’ sniper was active in the village of Talakivka. In the Mariupol sector Russian troops attacked Ukrainian positions 40 times, this equals to the overall number in the Luhansk and Donetsk sectors altogether.
In the Luhansk sector Russian troops shelled at Ukrainian positions in Popasna and Novoaydarsk districts. The town of Popasna, and the villages of Krymske and Novo-Oleksandrivka in the Luhansk sector came under mortar fire. Russian troops used grenade launchers and small arms to attack the villages of Novozvanivka, Novo-Oleksandrivka and Stanytsia Luhanska. Russian troops made a number of attacks upon Ukrainian positions near Popasna, some of the attacks involved the use of heavy weapons. After the sunset they held a massive mortar attack upon Ukrainian positions in Krymske having fired over 50 mines. Luhansk sector accounts for a total of 13 attacks of the Russian troops over the last day. 6 of them included the use of heavy weapons.
In the Donetsk sector, Russian troops opened fire from mortars of various calibers on the town of Avdiivka, and the villages of Nevelske, Maiorsk, Dacha, and Luhanske. They also fired grenade launchers and small arms on Avdiivka, and the villages of Opytne, Kamianka, Luhanske, Pisky, Nevelske, Zaitseve, and Troyitske. Russian troops’ snipers were working in Avdiivka and Zaitseve. Troyitske was attacked with the use of anti-aircraft guns. Russian troops fired about 20 mines during the morning attack upon the industrial zone. 4 ceasefire violations by Russian troops were registered at the Svitlodarsk bulge. Russian troops made a total of 27 attacks in the Donetsk sector over the last day, 5 of them included the use of heavy weapons.
