Combined Russian-separatist forces attacked Ukrainian army positions in eastern Ukraine 43 times in the past 24 hours, according to the press center of the Anti-Terrorist Operation (ATO) Headquarters.
In particular, in the direction of Novozvanivka militants used 152mm and 122mm artillery weapons. The village of Novo-Oleksandrivka was attacked with 120mm mortar shells, and Stanytsia Luhanska – with 82mm mortars. Militants also fired 122mm artillery and mortars of both calibers on the Ukrainian Armed Forces near the town of Popasna.
In the Mariupol sector, 18 cases of ceasefire violations were reported. Militants fired 82mm and 120mm mortars on the Ukrainian defenders near Maryinka and Krasnohorivka. In Shyrokyne, the enemy also applied infantry fighting vehicles, grenade launchers and large-caliber machine guns, and the village of Starohnativka was attacked with small arms.
In the Donetsk sector, six attacks were reported on the Ukrainian positions. Russia`s hybrid military force used 120mm mortars in the village of Zaitseve, and they used grenade launchers, machine guns and small arms to attack Avdiyivka, Novhorodske and Troitske.
