“Russian troops are harming not only the infrastructure of the captured Zaporizhzhia Nuclear Power Plant but also the environment and animals. Due to the mining of the perimeter around the nuclear power plant, at least 30 explosions of dogs, foxes and wild boars caused by Russian mines have been recorded in the last three months,” noted the State Enterprise National Nuclear Energy Generating Company of Ukraine “Energoatom”.

It should be noted that Russian troops captured the city of Enerhodar and the ZNPP located in it on March 4, 2022. Russia refuses to create a demilitarized zone around the nuclear power plant, and its troops shell the nuclear plant and the area near it.
