“Most cases of ecocide were detected in the Kyiv region – 34, 27 in the Donetsk region, and 22 in the Dnipropetrovsk region. Missile attacks cause large-scale fires at critical infrastructure facilities, especially oil depots and chemical plants. This causes significant damage to ecosystems, leads to environmental pollution, and reduced populations of plant and animal species.”

From the first day of the war, the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources of Ukraine, together with subordinate executive bodies and environmental activists, has been recording the racists’ environmental crimes and calculating losses using special methods.
