The Mayor of Energodar wrote on Telegram on September 1, that the city of Energodar (Ukraine’s south) has been under constant mortar shelling since the morning. As a result, residential buildings, shops, and kindergartens were damaged.

“Energodar. Since five o’clock in the morning, constant mortar shelling of the city has not stopped. It is known that several civilian objects have been hit. There are casualties! We are finding out exactly how many.”
Later, the Mayor added that the occupiers had reported the dead and injured, and Russian helicopters were circling over the city.
“The very murderers of the civilian population, who are shelling Energodar in the morning with mortars, assault rifles and firing shells, have used aviation (helicopters are circling over the city). It has already been reported killed and injured as a result of their shelling”.
In addition, the Mayor noted that information is being received about hitting residential buildings, private country houses in cooperatives in the suburbs, the reception room of the specialized medical and sanitary unit, shops, and kindergartens.
