Russia deploys troops on the border with Finland following its declarations of joining NATO

Heavy weapons, including missile systems, were spotted on Russian territory in the direction of the border with Finland, a few hours after the Kremlin warned Helsinki against joining NATO.

Two coastal missile systems moving along the border from the Russian side.

Previously, it was a mobile coastal defense missile system K-300P “Bastion-P”, designed to destroy surface ships up to aircraft carriers.

The deployment of Russian troops took place after Finnish Prime Minister Sanna Marin expressed hope that the government would “complete the discussion by mid-summer” on applying for NATO membership.
