The European Union today will try to agree on a list of individuals and companies of the Russian Federation, to which the new sanctions may be extended.
In particular, new restrictive measures may relate to access to financial markets, defense, dual-purpose products, high technology, particularly in the energy sector.
To remind, July 22, the EU Foreign Ministers met in Brussels due to the downed Boeing in eastern Ukraine. However, during the meeting the sanctions of the third level were not considered since the matter is within the competence of the European Council.
Meanwhile, Austrian Foreign Minister Sebastian Kurz said before the meeting that Austria would insist on implementing the EU embargo on arms exports to Russia.
