Ukraine’s Energy Minister Herman Halushchenko said that around 30% of Ukraine’s energy infrastructure had been attacked by Russian missiles since October 10, 2022.

According to the Minister, this was the first time when Russia has so intensely shelled the energy infrastructure of Ukraine since the beginning of the war.
“One reason is that Ukrainian electricity exports to Europe help European countries to save on Russian gas and coal.”
Ukraine’s Energy Minister added that Ukraine was trying to quickly restore supplies from other sources.
When asked if Ukraine would get more energy from Europe, Herman Halushchenko replied that it was “one of the options.”
“We send this message to our partners: we need to protect the sky. Russians, they are not playing in some games on international laws. They don’t care about any kind of international agreements or conventions.”
In addition, the Russian defense ministry confirmed that Russia was aimed at strikes on Ukrainian energy and military objects.
