The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine has ratified the Protocol amending the multilateral agreement on international transport on the development of the Europe-Caucasus-Asia corridor bypassing Russia.
The adoption of bill No. 0118 ”On ratification of the Protocol on Amendments to the Basic Multilateral Agreement on International Transportation for Development of the Europe-Caucasus-Asia corridor” was supported by 241 MPs with the required minimum of 226 votes.
According to Deputy Minister of Infrastructure for European Integration Viktor Dovhan, ratified changes include technical updates to the basic principles of operations of rail and ferry systems in the Black and Caspian Seas.
”This technical supplement is important for the development of a transport corridor bypassing Russia,” he said.
As UNIAN reported earlier, in June, the Verkhovna Rada ratified two governmental agreements on air communication with Greece and Cyprus.
Also, the parliament ratified the agreement between Ukraine and Poland on air transportation.
