The State Emergency Service of Ukraine noted on January 8, 2023, that pyrotechnics have neutralized more than 313 thousand explosive objects since the beginning of the full-scale invasion of the Russian army in Ukraine.

“Since the beginning of the large-scale military invasion of the Russian Federation, the pyrotechnic units of the State Emergency Service of Ukraine have neutralized 313,113 explosive objects and 2,891 kg of explosives, including 2,157 aviation bombs,” emphasized the State Emergency Service of Ukraine.
According to the State Emergency Service of Ukraine, pyrotechnic units worked most often: in the Kharkiv region (14,121 times), Kyiv region (7,119), and Chernihiv region (4,315).
The State Emergency Service added that an area of 77,611 hectares was surveyed during this time.
On January 7, 2023, two anti-ship mines were discovered and destroyed in the Odesa region (south of Ukraine).
Earlier, the Prime Minister of Ukraine noted that an area of 250,000 square kilometers was mined in Ukraine by Russian troops.
