The Danish Prime Minister also confirmed the transfer of 19 Caesar self-propelled howitzers to Ukraine.
“Since the beginning of this war, Denmark has been saying that it will support Ukraine with whatever it takes. I think that we have proven in many ways that we are a true friend of Ukraine. Of course, tanks are what we discussed today. We just gave artillery systems to Ukraine, but tanks are also needed. We talked about various topics that are important for Ukraine now and for the future as well, including tanks,” said the head of the Danish government.
Volodymyr Zelenskyy noted that this visit by the Danish Prime Minister, who was accompanied by several ministers, including those of defense and foreign affairs, showed support for Ukraine.
“Negotiations were held in Odesa, which concern all key aspects of cooperation, first of all, it is defense. I thank Denmark for strengthening our artillery, in particular for the fundamental decision to supply Caesar howitzers,” clarified the President of Ukraine.
Volodymyr Zelenskyy also thanked Denmark for its readiness to join the “tank coalition”.
