On February 5, in Kyiv the United States Secretary of State John Kerry will hold a meeting with Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko. He plans also to meet with Prime Minister Arseniy Yatseniuk, Foreign Minister Pavlo Klimkin and members of the Ukrainian parliament.
“The visit will become another attestation of U.S. support for Ukraine. Among priority issues to be discussed at the meeting are progress in pushing the reforms in our country and searching for ways to de-escalate the situation in Ukraine,” Foreign Ministry spokesman Yevhen Perebyinis said.
During the meeting with Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko will be discused the reforms and situation in Eastern Ukraine. The meeting begins at 1 p.m. (GM+2) following which the parties will issue a joint statement for the press.
