Ukrainian Defense Minister Stepan Poltorak sees cyber security as a priority in cooperation between the Ministries of Defense of Ukraine and Canada, according to a statement posted on the Ukrainian ministry`s website.
”The Ministry of Defense of Ukraine will cooperate with Canada in many aspects, including those related to cyber security. It`s very important considering that Russian Federation has mounted over 7,000 cyber attacks against Ukraine in the last three years. I think such cooperation is also very important for conducting joint discussions and countering threats,” Poltorak said at a media briefing in Ottawa, Canada, the statement said.
Earlier, Ukraine`s Defense Minister Stepan Poltorak and Canadian Minister of National Defense Kharjit Singh Saijan signed a cooperation agreement on Monday, April 3, 2017.
