Poland has provided Ukraine with $9B in aid since the beginning of the Russian invasion

The Deputy Chairman of the Polish Development Fund Group (PFR) Bartosz Marchuk wrote on Twitter on December 27, 2022, that Poland and the Poles have provided Ukraine and Ukrainians with 35-40 billion zlotys ($8-9 billion) in aid since the full-scale aggression of the Russian Federation against Ukraine.

“Poland in 2002 made a big effort to help Ukraine,” wrote Bartosz Marchuk.

The Deputy Chairman of the Polish Development Fund Group (PFR) informed that approximately zł10 billion (about $2.3 billion) is the provision of weapons, and another zł10 billion (about $2.3 billion) is the help of the Poles.

In addition, zł6 billion (about $1.4 billion) was allocated to help Ukrainians from Poland’s budget, and aid to local self-government bodies and non-governmental organizations also amounted to about zł10 billion ($2.3 billion).

In addition, according to Bartosz Marchuk, currently, there are 950,000 refugees from Ukraine in Poland, and there are about 2.3 million Ukrainian citizens in Poland.

Poland is among the countries that provide the most assistance to Ukraine during the war. Poland is also the main logistical hub for providing aid to Ukraine.
