Over 58,000 civilians have currently been evacuated from the area of the anti-terrorist operation (ATO) in eastern Ukraine.
The Ukrainian interior minister’s adviser, Zorian Shkiriak, said this in the Verkhovna Rada on Thursday, a Ukrinform correspondent reported.
“I might be mistaken, but according to official information of the coordinating staff, about 58,000 have been transported from Donetsk and Luhansk regions since the beginning of evacuation measures,” Shkiriak said.
As reported, on Thursday, July 31, Pivnich (North) operation command troops as part of the ATO forces opened a humanitarian corridor for the civilian population of Luhansk.
