“The Netherlands supplies missiles to further strengthen Ukraine’s air and missile defense. They are intended to be fired with an air and missile defense system provided by one of the allies.”
Minister of Defense Kajsa Ollongren emphasized that the Netherlands and its partners would continue to support Ukraine.
“The delivery of missiles, with a value of more than €15 million, is taking place in light of Russia’s recent attacks in Ukraine. There have also been civilian casualties. The government strongly condemns these attacks.”
According to the Minister, the government of the Netherlands wants to send a signal to Russia by this contribution.
“These attacks reinforce the government’s belief that they can only be answered with unwavering support for Ukraine and its people. I also emphasized in direct consultation with the Ukrainian Minister of Defense that the Netherlands, like our partners, will not be intimidated by Russia and will continue to support Ukraine.”
