NATO Secretary General Anders Fogh Rasmussen, will visit Ukraine August 7.
This visit will take place on the eve of the NATO Summit to be held September 4-5 in Wales (UK). At the summit, a meeting of the Ukraine-NATO heads of state and governments is scheduled.
It is assumed that Rasmussen will meet with the leadership of Ukraine – they will talk about the state issues at the summit. He also will talk about the current problems of Ukraine and lay out a vision of future cooperation with NATO.
It is planned that Rasmussen’s visit will be short – maybe a few hours.
