“That is why we are united in our determination to stay the course. And support Ukraine for as long as it takes. We will discuss how we can step up our support, including by continuing to strengthen Ukraine’s armed forces. Our support is for the long-haul. So I expect that ministers will agree to start work on developing a multi-year programme for Ukraine,” explained NATO Secretary General.
Jens Stoltenberg also noted that at the meeting, the heads of foreign affairs of the Alliance will discuss, in particular, the transition from Soviet types of weapons of the Ukrainian army to NATO-style equipment.
The Secretary General believes that after the end of Russia’s war against Ukraine, the Alliance should ensure the ability of Ukraine to deter possible further aggression.
