MPs want to change election law less than week before voting

At a meeting on Monday, the Verkhovna Rada plans to approve amendments to the election law.
Speaker Oleksandr Turchynov told this.
“The Verkhovna Rada of the seventh convocation, which prematurely terminates its authorities, shall approve amendments to the election law to enable every Ukrainian patriot to vote, who now defends Ukraine with the arms in hands,” the Verkhovna Rada Chairman said, quoted by the parliamentary press service.
To remind, a meeting of the Verkhovna Rada on October 14 in the afternoon had to be interrupted because of unrest near the parliament building. At that time, Speaker Oleksandr Turchynov did not rule out an extraordinary meeting.
