Ihor Klymenko, the head of the National Police of Ukraine noted on December 24, 2022, that the National Police of Ukraine initiated more than 51,000 criminal proceedings on the facts of crimes committed by Russian military and their accomplices in Ukraine during the large-scale invasion of the Russian Federation.

“During the 10 months of the war, the National Police of Ukraine received and processed almost 6.6 million appeals from citizens. It registered about 261,000 crimes. This is 12% less than last year. In almost 126,000 criminal offenses, persons were notified of suspicions,” explained the head of the National Police of Ukraine.
The National Police has initiated more than 51,000 criminal proceedings based on the facts of crimes committed by Russian troops and their accomplices. On average, the police registered 168 Russian war crimes per day.
More than 2,200 criminal proceedings have also been opened for collaborationism. 448 people are under the status of suspects. 240 indictments have already been submitted to the courts.
