More than 10 million Ukrainians remain without electricity, – Ukraine’s President

The President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy noted in his evening address on November 17, 2022, that more than 10 million residents of Ukraine remained without electricity as a result of the Russian missile attack.

“The liquidation of the consequences of another missile attack against Ukraine continues all day long. Again, emergency blackouts carry out in addition to planned, stabilization ones. As of now, more than 10 million Ukrainians are without electricity,” Volodymyr Zelenskyy said.

According to the Ukrainian President, the largest number of power outages is recorded in the Vinnytsia, Odesa, and Sumy regions, as well as in Kyiv.

“We are doing everything to normalize the electricity supply,” the President emphasized.

In addition, DTEK company director (Ukraine’s largest private energy holding) Dmytro Saharuk said that due to large-scale damage to energy facilities, up to 40% of consumers of Ukraine are currently without electricity. In some areas, there will be no electricity for several days.
