German Chancellor Angela Merkel on August 18 will visit Riga where she plans to discuss with Latvia’s leaders the situation in the east of Ukraine, the Delfi news portal reported.
“Merkel is going to discuss with the leaders of Latvia developments surrounding the conflict in the east of Ukraine. Merkel’s administration officially confirms the visit soon. In Latvia she is scheduled to meet with the President and the Prime Minister, Andris Berzins and Laimdota Straujuma,” the news portal said.
