On May 29 Lithuanian president Dalia Grybauskaite met with officials in the sixth Interparliamentary Assembly of Lithuania, Poland and Ukraine and discussed how to increase interparliamentary cooperation between countries.

Lithuanian president underlined the EU’s commitment to Ukraine:
“Today we all share the same objective,” she said. “To ensure the safety and well-being of our people.”
Actually, the three parliamentary speakers discussed the outcome of the Riga Eastern Partnership summit (May 21-22, 2015) and emphasised the importance of Ukraine continuing with its democratic reforms to secure visa-free travel regime with the EU:
“We have a common understanding of the geopolitical situation and threats to our region, and the closer our cooperation is at all levels, the more secure and stable our region will be,” said Dalia Grybauskaite.
