The Minister of Defense of Lithuania Arvydas Anušauskas announced on March 16, 2023, on Twitter, that Lithuania plans to transfer to Ukraine an additional package of defense support to resist the invasion of Russia, which will include 155-mm artillery shells, vehicles and rations for Ukrainian troops.

“Lithuania’s new military support package for Ukraine includes 155 mm ammunition, vehicles and military rations. The total value of the military support provided by Lithuania to Ukraine will soon reach 450 million euros,” tweeted the Minister of Defense of Lithuania.
Arvydas Anušauskas did not specify how much this assistance to the Armed Forces of Ukraine will cost, but earlier, the Lithuanian Ministry of Defense said that they sent defense support to the Ukrainian army in the amount of approximately 409 million euros. Accordingly, the cost of the new package may be around €40 million.
In addition, at the Ukraine Defense Contact Group, Lithuania announced the allocation of 3 million euros to the international fund for the purchase of heavy weapons for Ukraine.
