Line of defense will surround Mariupol by weekend

A defense line around Mariupol will be completed by the end of this week.
This was announced by Donetsk governor Serhiy Taruta, a Ukrinform correspondent reports.
“We have to finish this week,” Taruta told answering journalists’ questions about the timing of completion of the defensive line around Mariupol.
According to him, the line will include the structures, “which will provide protection not only for Mariupol, but also for the entire area from Mariupol to Volnovakha – regardless of the number of enemy’s forces.”
Taruta also said that the defense infrastructure is being built on the east of Mariupol “from the settlement of Shyrokyno to Pavlopol.”
