Bono and The Edge from the legendary Irish band U2 sang for Kyiv residents in the Khreshchatyk metro station.
Their arrival in Ukraine came as a surprise. The musicians together with the Ukrainian military went down to the subway and sang the song “Stand by Ukraine”.
During the performance, the Irishman was joined by the frontman of the Ukrainian band “Antytila” Taras Topolia, who is currently defending Ukraine in the Armed Forces.
Bono called Russian President Vladimir Putin a “psycho.” According to him, Putin is evil.
U2 band has supported Ukraine since the beginning of the war.
President @ZelenskyyUa invited us to perform in Kyiv as a show of solidarity with the Ukrainian people and so that’s what we’ve come to do. — Bono and The Edge #StandWithUkraine
