Military units that will participate in a parade on Khreshchatyk Street on Independence Day will leave for the anti-terrorist operation (ATO) zone immediately after the event, Kyiv Mayor Vitali Klitschko has said.
According to his press service, he said this on the 1+1 television channel.
“The parade is needed. It won’t be pompous. Its goal is to raise patriotic spirit and show that we have patriots – people who protect the integrity and independence of the country. Immediately after the parade the guys and the machinery will head to the ATO zone,” Klitschko said.
