U.S. State Secretary John Kerry and Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov met in Hamburg December 7 to discuss the situation in Syria`s Aleppo, according to Assistant Secretary of State and Spokesperson John Kirby.
”Secretary Kerry met tonight in Hamburg, Germany with Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov,” Kirby said in a statement.
”They discussed ongoing multilateral efforts to achieve a cessation of hostilities in Aleppo, as well as the delivery of humanitarian aid to the tens of thousands of Syrian civilians in desperate need there,” the statement reads.
As UNIAN reported earlier, the Russian top diplomat said that Moscow would treat Aleppo rebels as ”terrorists”.
