It is noted that the equipment was sold to Poland to circumvent Israel’s refusal to sell modern weapons to Ukraine. The company said that it did not know that Warsaw would sell weapons to Kyiv.

“Anti-drone systems — which can intercept and disrupt unmanned aerial vehicles — are classified as advanced defensive technology and therefore are not approved for sale to Ukraine. However, the Israeli government has appeared uninterested in torpedoing the deal.”

It is worth noting that Israel deploys defense systems against drones along its borders with Gaza, Lebanon and Syria and is considered a world leader in the development of technologies in which several Israeli firms participate – Israel Aerospace Industries, Elbit, MCTECH, Spear and Avnon Group.

Uaposition memo: After Russia’s full-scale invasion of Ukraine, Western countries have supplied Ukraine with significant amounts of weapons, but Israel’s Defense Ministry has opposed the sale of both offensive and advanced defense systems to Kyiv because it could harm Jerusalem’s “delicate relationship” with Moscow. Israel is trying to maintain ties with Russia through Russian troops in Syria. At the same time, Jerusalem supplied Ukraine with helmets and protective vests, as well as humanitarian aid, including medicines and blankets.
