Prime Minister Arseniy Yatseniuk instructed the Interior Ministry to ensure public order for the Independence Day.
He said this opening the government meeting on Wednesday, Ukrinform reports.
“I draw the attention of the Ministry of Internal Affairs to ensure public order before the Independence Day. We will celebrate our independence, we are fighting for our independence and we gave lives for our independence. Historic words of the Ukrainian national anthem came true …” he stressed.
The Prime Minister also noted that Russian militants are trying to destabilize the situation in Ukraine by means of various kinds of terrorist attacks.
In this regard, it is necessary to intensify the activities of the Security Service and the Interior Ministry for localization, search and seizure of Russian mercenaries and subversives.
