The head of the European Commission, Ursula von der Leyen, will arrive in Kyiv today on September 14, 2022, for negotiations with the President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy regarding Ukraine’s unimpeded access to the Single European Market and the free roaming zone.

“We will empower Ukraine to make the most of its potential. Building on the success of the solidarity lanes to ensuring seamless access to the Single Market. Bringing Ukraine into our European free roaming area”, Ursula von der Leyen wrote on her Twitter.
The head of the European Commission added that today she is going to Kyiv to discuss all the details with President Zelenskyy.

In addition, Ursula von der Leyen announced during the State of the Union address that the EU would donate €100 million for the reconstruction of Ukrainian schools.
“As soon as Russian troops crossed the border into Ukraine, our response was united, determined and immediate, and I think we can be proud of that,” emphasized the head of the European Commission.
