Every city, which is liberated from the militants during the antiterrorist operation in the east of Ukraine, immediately receives a full package of social and financial aid.
Prime Minister Arseniy Yatseniuk told reporters at a briefing in Kyiv, a Ukrinform correspondent reports.
“We continue financing social payments on the territories under our control. And every city, which is liberated by the Ukrainian military, immediately receives a full package of social and financial aid,” the government head said.
He also stressed that despite economic problems, the government managed not to reduce payment of pensions and wages.
“Despite combat actions, the war waged in the east of Ukraine, that this has a horrible impact on economic indexes, that the taxes stopped to be paid in the east because there is fighting there, they fight against Ukraine, but we continue funding social payments,” Yatseniuk stressed.
The Prime Minister also said that the parliament and the government took a number of decisions on renewal of Ukrainian territories in the east, bombed by Russian terrorists. Total amount of the funds for Donbas recovery is UAH 2 billion.
