German Chancellor Olaf Scholz refused to supply German battle tanks and armoured personnel carriers, citing alleged agreements with NATO allies. However, as can be seen from the Ukrainian government documents accessed by the German newspaper, Germany has not delivered a single noteworthy small arms weapon since the end of March.
Ukraine received only two arms supplies from the federal government from March 30 to May 26. Both contained only small devices. According to Ukraine, Germany sent 3,000 anti-tank mines and another 1,600 special anti-tank mines in mid-May.
Another delivery from the federal government arrived in Ukraine a month earlier. It contained only spare parts for machine guns, detonation cords, radios, hand grenades, explosives and mines.
In addition, the announced Gepard tanks should be available only later. However, for a different reason than Berlin officially claims.
