“Today [on December 16, 2022 – ed.] there was another massive Russian attack on the civilian energy infrastructure of Ukraine. International partners and Germany stand side by side with Ukraine in these dark hours. The German Ministry of Economy responds to the call by providing an additional 100 million euros for the Ukraine Energy Support Fund,” noted the Embassy of Germany in Ukraine.

Thus, by the end of the year, the Ukraine Energy Support Fund will receive 130 million euros from Germany for the urgent needs of Ukrainian energy companies.

As stated by the Minister of Energy of Ukraine Herman Halushchenko, this contribution is extremely timely, because there has been a massive shelling of the Ukrainian energy system again.
