Germany allocated €35M to support children in Ukraine

The Embassy of Germany in Ukraine noted on December 26, 2022, on Twitter that the Federal Ministry of Economic Cooperation and Development of Germany allocated EUR 35 million to UNICEF Ukraine for the educational and sanitary needs of children in western and central Ukraine.

“In cooperation with the KfW Development Bank Communications, the Federal Ministry of Economic Cooperation and Development allocated €35 million for a partnership with UNICEF Ukraine, which provides for the protection of children, the restoration of the educational process, the provision of access to sanitation and hygiene services, as well as the continuous operation of the social protection system in the western and central Ukraine,” the Embassy of Germany in Ukraine informed.

Earlier, it was noted that Germany will allocate an additional 100 million euros to the Ukraine Energy Support Fund. Thus, by the end of the year, the fund will receive 130 million euros from Germany for the urgent needs of energy companies of Ukraine.
